My Rules on the Instant Transmission

Don't you hate it when people just pop up (out of nowhere)?

Hi guys, it's the DB Analyst here. Applying real world logic (I think) in the Dragonball world. I'm sure a lot of us are in love with the awesome technique that is the Instant Transmission. You can go anywhere at anytime just like that – how perfect it must be in battle. Just know that with great power comes great responsibility. Practice these 6 rules at all times and you will be an instant star!

Rule #1

BE COURTEOUS. Don't just show up in front of a person. I mean, they could be having a bathroom moment or even on top of a ladder. You could be popping up into an awkward situation or giving someone a heart attack.

Rule #2

NO HOUSECALLS. People already don't like unexpected company. What makes you think they would be any happier about you not only showing up at their house but inside their house. Save this for emergencies only. Trust me, it will save you an aggressive beat down or an explosive earful. Show up at the door and ring the bell instead.

Rule #3

UNIQUE IS BEST. Ki signature (I call it the Unique Reading) is more powerful. Power readings are great but you will extend your range in your search from knowing the unique reading. Every person has a unique reading – it's like our DNA. This makes for a quicker and more precise process.

Rule #4

FOCUS. FOCUS. FOCUS. No matter what, the instant transmission requires a lot of focus. Even if you know someone's unique reading, you still need to concentrate and harness in on locking on to that.

Rule #5

NO LOCK, NO KEY. If you can't even sense the person's ki, then it is impossible to lock on to them. They may be hiding power, they may be extremely weak or they are just too far away.

Rule #6

CONTROL WHERE YOU LAND. This is perhaps the most important to note. When you lock on to someone, you get a sense of where you're going (a house, a street, a bridge, etc.) and within that you choose where to appear. If not, you might very well pop up in lava (because living things are there to be sensed obviously :D) or cause an accident (either you get hit or people are swerving to avoid you). There's a lot that could wrong if you don't be careful.

Well done. The Yardrats would be proud of you. Happy instant transmissioning!
